Ewwwwww at that keyboard! And I thought mine was bad!

Don't worry, it isn't dirt. I'm thinking about retr0bright, but that would require full disassembly of the keyboard as some of the yellow parts are beneath a layer of clear plastic.

You can get most any power cable to work with that.

Thx Misterkeeks for the photos! But what precisely do you do with all those machines (especially with that iMac on the piano)? And do you have a PC or an Intel-Mac? :)

We do have an Intel Mac, a Quad i7 MBP @ 2.33 GHz, used by my parents, and, depending on location/mood/time of day/star alignment, myself. Also have a Dell running as an HTPC. The iMac on the organ is for recording and playback through the organ speakers/headphones; it also can play a metronome into the headphones. The G5 by the desk is my main machine. 2 G5s in the storage room will be used for Arduino, the pictured iMac G3 and another one are used for the heck of it (OS 9). G3 iBook used for browsing away from my desk.

Just got my hands on a Power Mac G5 for free! The case and everything looks spotless, but unfortunately, it does not boot. This weekend I'm going to see if I can rescue this baby as well or if it's worth the cost of doing so.

I upgraded this particular setup with an i7 Hackintosh with 32GB RAM and 2 X GTX560 2GB vide cards. Not the best video cards for Hackintosh, but I got them pretty cheap. I have a Mac Pro and some other Mac laptops too. I have sold quite a few of my PPC Macs over the past 3 or 4 years. When I look at some of the old pictures of my late 90's PowerMacs I really miss those days.

I love using the new Mountain Lion, but there is just something about using that G5 Quad on the PPC platform. It is just a nostalgic feeling of using the last PPC Mac with 10.5.8. Also, the computer is still fast! But just not fast enough for what I have to put it through. It is pretty amazing to look at the speed difference. But again, my Quad is almost 8 years old.

Here's what my desk is looking like these days. My 20" iMac G5 sits majestically on the desk, next to my 2009 mini. Not pictured, I have an iMac G4 on my workbench as a lookup machine. It does well at that task, plus I still think that the G4 is one of the most adorable computers ever made.
