Confused... Apple sez no, no to 3rd party apps that might show nudes but its OK to view via Safari? Also as someone mentioned...Flickr and Tumblr. Odd logic.

If I were Apple, I'd be more embarrassed to display my hangups in public than nude bodies! This is like the "OMG a naked person!" mentality that some teenagers have. It's prurient in and of itself to scandalize nudity or require carefully placed pasties or whatever. You make something sexual by insisting it be censored or covered. And you make it sexual in a less healthful way than more "natural" sexuality. What is wrong with nudity? Nudity in and of itself is not only sexual, but we think of it as such in our culture. Not that there's anything wrong with sexuality, either.

If it's not covered in aluminium, it's not art.

Also, I just looked up Playboy in the app store. For some reason, one of the pics they have showing off the app is a shot of a giant hamburger. No areolas though.

...I'm still trying to figure out what this means.

Farting apps are ok. Nudity is a no-no.

You can't access 500px on Apple store computers, either. Maybe Apple is not opposed to nudity but to the tacky soft porn on 500px. :)
