Can anyone do Safari mobile browser benchmarks like Sunspider and HTML5? Browsermark as well and see if they made Safari any faster please if you have beta 5 installed on your phone

UPDATE:

Interestingly, the update for the iPod 5th Generation generated that error message "'This device isn't eligible for the requested build", yet the same beta for iPhone 5 is installing perfectly, seems to indicate its not iTunes / Firewall / Hosts file - interesting, anyone have any other ideas?

There must be something going on with Apple's servers.

Disappointed yet again. I know x.1 updates usually aren't that big but there hasn't been any major updates since IOS 5.

iOS 6 was a huge update. Even if you're just looking at user level stuff - Passbook alone is a big deal to me. Mail VIP is huge. FB integration is something I use a lot. Maps of course. But all of that is really minor compared to the major new APIs us developers got to enjoy.

That said, iOS 6.1 seems like its been in beta a VERY long time and its got only 2-3 minor changes and 1 API addition. Very strange. Almost as if all the iOS devs are working on something else…

Thank You Apple! I was getting a little worried that Apple went home for the Weekend without giving something new to us ADC Members so that we would NOT be stuck with Beta 4 which Expires on Monday. Looks like there was nothing to worry about after all.

Personally I think the Mountain Lion style dock looks much better than the transparent "glass" look :D

Apple needs to stop releasing "tentpole" features once a year. One a year is plenty of time for people consider other phones. This is especially true when their major releases aren't that major in the first place. If they increase more useful features in less time, it would give their products much more perceived value and make Apple seem more nimble like Google.

In 2010 Apple introduced a lot of new features for each 4.X releases

Yeah it is edited. Just wanted to give you guys a taste of what it would look like if Apple would stop being LAZY and actually do it. Lol

Nice job on the photoshop! You fooled me! And agreed, I think apple needs to start changing the UI fast!

why did they close the other thread? so we are forced to comment on MacRumor's post?
Yes. That's how it always is here. You either live with it or move to another rumour website.

OP I should at least get some credit for that Screenshot geez
Not gonna happen. Luckily this is no university assessment article or it'd fail for lack of references to material that was obviously referenced or used from someone else.

Did you try Browsermark and HTML 5 test? Not that specific html 5 test this one, http://html5test.com/

I got the same scores as you
