The back of my iTouch 5 suddenly started to bubble then peel off, can I send this back to Apple and have it replaced? Anyone else have this issue?

Call Apple and ask. Specifically mention the bubbles so you can make it clear that you didn't cause the chips.

BTW, there's a lot of good clear cases at reasonable prices at Amazon for the IT5. I have a white/silver Touch, but added a case just to keep the back scratch-free.

Ummm

It looks like it's been scratched or had some kind of harmful chemical on it. I've noticed that sunscreen and lotion and things like that tend to damage paint. But in general, normal use wouldn't cause that.
