I do this online program called ALEKS. It requires some little Java thing, which I install. Still, "missing plugin" how do I fix this?
This is so easy, I'm surprised more people haven't figured this out yet.
Open Java Preferences in your Applications -> Utilities folder. This will fail with an error about Java not being installed, and will then offer to download it.
This is what I've heard. Give it a try. If it won't download through Software Update then yes, you probably need an ADC account.But you have to be registered developer, right?
It downloaded java runtime when I ran Lion for the first time.
But as appears java applets don't run.
