When I right-click on the trash can and choose "Empty Trash" why does OSX pop up any previously-minimized Finder windows onto my screen? They have nothing to do with what I'm doing - why are they now on my screen?

The Trash is accessed via Finder, so when you empty the trash, you're making Finder the active app, which brings any non-minimized windows to the front.

Makes sense. Kind of annoying. Thanks for the reply.
