I figured out what's wrong with the planets and asteroid belt... They aren't realistic. No cloud cover, too bright.

Too bad, otherwise it's beautiful. As it stands now though, for me it's unusable.

:(

The biggest problem with quality textures is their size.
As a desktop background, the application should NOT consume large mount of memory. Quality textures consumes a lot.

The same thing happens with asteroid belt. Too many objects loads CUP.

Though, the application definitely should be improved. We are working on it.

A new version of the app had been released.

We've made some optimizations. Hope it will consume less CPU and look better. Especially asteroid belt.

My opinion:

The asteroid belt isn't too great looking. Looks more like grey blobs. Should be darker, more in shadow.

The planets still look a bit cartoonish because of a lack of cloud cover. They are just too bright.
