any one with any experience with any of these 3, which of the following would be best?

Crucial 16 gb

I was going to go with the corsair but have the option of 1 of the above

Any help would be great

I have used crucial in both my macs and have had no problems. I only put 8gb in my mini and it was transformed performance wise.
HTH.

Please take a look at these two links, two things that grab my attention..

1 price

2 appears the same chips are used, the pc boards are the same.

How do you see it? What is your opinion ? Is Apple hosing us that bad?

If Apple was to be judged on its ram prices alone they would be judged to be overpriced. If you pay for apple ram in a 2012 mac mini or from the apple the link you show you would be the classic fool in the saying "a fool and his money is soon parted" . In the last 10 years there have been thousands of posts about apple and its crazy high ram price.

Be happy the 2012, 2011 ,2010 mac minis have ram that is easy to change. Some macs the ram can not be changed.

You do realize that ALL computer manufacturers charge an arm and a leg for the RAM upgrades right?

Dell: http://configure.us.dell.com/dellst...el_id=alienware-m14x-r2&c=us&l=en&s=dhs&cs=19 - $175 for 16GB

HP: http://www.shopping.hp.com/webapp/shopping/cto.do#anchor-top - $200

Lenovo - http://shop.lenovo.com/SEUILibrary/...builder.workflow:Enter?sb=:00000025:00003352: - $340
Etc. etc. etc.

Based on the above prices, I'd say Apples cost of $300 is on the high side compared to Dell and HP, it is actually LESS than Lenovo! This shows that ANY PC builder will be at least twice the cost of what you can buy in store and as much as 4x the cost!

So please, no more "Apple upgrades are over priced" because they are from ALL vendors... It's called "making money"....

Totally agree with what you say, I was just testing the waters on this. I lean towards the Kingston product that's the norm when we add dimms to our servers at work. The servers are high end Sun and HPs hard workers.

The Kingston chips looks like a better design over all, fewer components reduced point of failure .

But it is unofficial should I stick to apple standards of 8gb? has anyone here tested this? like running creative suite and other application.

And if I should stick with 8gb what brand is the best? is gskill ok?

Thanks
Should I make a new thread on this? because I am talking about an old unibody model that has a cd on it so old school :D

OWC (macsales.com) only sells Mac "compatible" RAM. While I haven't purchased from them, many here have with great results. Even when there has been a problem many have reported quick shipping of replacement parts. Generally there are cheaper places to buy RAM from than OWC, but you need to do your homework that the RAM you are buying elsewhere will work (generally it will, but check the reviews to be sure). The older Core2Duo based Macs were a little more finicky with RAM than the Sandy Bridge and Ivy Bridge based Macs, but not by much.

Crucial, Mushkin, Corsair and Kingston are reliable and reputable names in Mac Memory. If buying on new egg, check the reviews. look for specifically for mac reviews citing specific computer models. I find that price and specific positive reviews are huge assets before finalizing my purchases.
