Down the rabbit hole
[Actors, I mean] I just watched 7 Psychopaths with Christopher Walken and it got me thinking about his body of work. I think he has my vote for the creepiest guy in Hollywood. Thoughts?

I'll go along with Walken as being a major creep. ( I should add, I really like his work)

Mickey Rourke has his moments, too.

Jack Palance is another I wouldn't want to meet in a dark alley.

I wouldn't call him creepy but Gary Oldman can play a really psycho character.

Didn't Oldman play Sirius Black?

Either way, Carey Elwes, Harry Connick, Jr., Dwight Yoakam, and Chris Isaak rank up there as well.

EDIT: I'm referring to them in their acting roles.. As a person, you still have to top Cruise.

BL.

Yes. He did. He also played Sid Vicious,Lee Harvey Oswald,Dracula, and the crooked DEA guy in The Professional.

Quite a bad guy.

But I have to agree with the OP. Christopher Walken has my vote for #1.

I still remember the highway scene.

Bad guy : Put up your hands
Walkin : No.
Bad guy : What ?
Walkin I don't want to.
Bad guy : But I'm holding a gun.
Walkin : So.

I found Willem Dafoe and Dennis Hopper super creepie at times. Walken is an excellent choice though. +1

Good thread btw :)

You forgot about the villain in the Fifth Element! Still kind of creepy for a campy movie like that. He's got quite the range of characters.

I won't watch anything that has Polanski's name associated with it.

Understandable. Yet, Dance of the Vampires / The Fearless Vampire Killers is one of my favorite movies of all time still..but yeah, it's creepy to think about it at minimum.

A few other who have certainly had their moments: Jack Nicholson [The Shining], Crispin Glover, Giovanni Ribisi, Tim Curry, Steve Buscemi and John Malkovich.

No female creeps?

Sissy Spacek comes to mind, but that's quite some time ago.

Btw. I loved 7 psychopaths. Excellent movie.

My favorite line from the movie was delivered by Walken in the first 15 minutes. He's visiting his wife and she berates him for not having an honest job "When you gonna get a job that ain't just stealin' from people?" and suggests he get a job with the government.

Walken sardonically turns her comment back on her and says "Government. A job that ain't just stealing from people."

Great performance by Sam Rockwell in this one as well, who's not a bad kook himself.

Good point. One of the most startling transformations I've ever seen -- Charlize Theron as Aileen Wuornos in 'Monster' blew me away.

Given that Jack's been dead for several years now, yes, that would qualify as pretty creepy. ;)

See, I know whereof I speak!

I didn't realize we were restricted to living creepos!:p

And since I'm here...how about Rondo Hatton...

Did he play the 'monster' also in a SH Rathbone/bruce piece? There was one semi pro actor who suffered from some sort of serious deformation which I believe let him die very early and young? I'd guess no, but am on my phone and hence can't be bothered with a profound research. ;)

The only one I can recall offhand is "The Creeper".

Just in case you are dying to catch his entire oeuvre :

And, yes, the metabolic disease (hyper pituitary) is called acromegaly.

More than you ever wanted to know about Rondo Hatton...right!??:p
