This is excellent news.

I just hope when it rolls out that I get speeds a little higher than the 0.02kB/s during the day that I get on 3G .

Thats made me a bit happier, considering I've had literally no 3 reception at all today

I cant even phone them to find out why either (its not just me, one of my students is on 3 and had nothing either).

Why would a phone company actually charge for using the latest data technology? We poke fun at our carriers here in Canada but they'd never do that - it's just crooked and wrong!

But good to hear that you're not being ripped off then!

will it work fine with iphone 5?

I know my iPhone 5 which I bought from an apple high street store will run ee ok but not 02 when they roll out 4g/uk lte due to the bands they are bidding for. Many ip5 owners will probably have the option to upgrade their phone through their carrier for a price !!

Do Three UK users even need 4G speeds? The last time I saw Three's 3G DC-HSDPA speeds were like 20+mbps on several devices. That's already very fast.

I get about 18mbps with Three at the moment over 3G, and boy I can't wait for my unlimited LTE. :D

Depending on how fast it is, I may pay a little extra for the One plan and get me some lovely unlimited tethering.

i need more speed to upload photos :) and after reading it will work with 3 and ip5 as ofcom forced ee to sell some 4g frequencies to 3

other providers (voda/o2/etc) will have to wait for the iphone to get more freqs

I dunno why other carriers have failed to embrace DC-HSDPA whilst they wait for LTE. I suppose that will make too much logical sense. I'm thinking of leaving O2 for Three at this point in time tbh.
