iPhone 5 wifi m3u8 streams stopping/buffering

for some reason when I'm watching m3u8 live streams over wifi the streams buffer or stop completely,, they work fine on LTE and 4g,, I know my wifi is fast because I have a fast router,,I'm on 6.0.1,,the quality is set in low too,, it's very frustrating,, any ideas?

The streams worked fine on iPhone 4 and 4s on wifi 5.1.1

your wifi router speed has nothing to do with your internet connection speed. I can have a wireless N router with a 2 mbps connection..


Try changing your wifi encryption to WEP
Myself and others have slow wifi on the ip5 when connected to other encryption.

I think it's an iphone 5 issue,,I updated my iphone 4 and 4s to ios 6 too and the streams work fine on wifi,,but iphone 5 they buffer and still work great on LTE and 4g

Any update on this? We have the same issue when connecting to m3u8 live stream. Works on all desktops pc/mac on wired and wireless connections. Works on ipad2 but not on iphone5 over wifi. 4G works on iphone5 and iphone5 connected to mifi device works.

stream does not seem to start at all on iphone5.

ipad2 has ios 5.


Download speed is 14.4 Mbps
Upload speed is 8.11 Mbps

I think we have the same iPhone 5 wifi error with wifi m3u8 streams,,, is yours fixed yet?
