Ive been using Toast 11 to burn dvds, it takes a good chunk of the day to encode about 2 hours of footage. I have a mbpr 2.7 16gig. Are there settings I can adjust for faster encoding? Or can you guys recommend better burning software?

It's a part of iLife, the boxed set. Any version from 2008 onward has the latest current version. Apple hasn't paid much attention to it in the past few years and because of that it isn't in the App Store.

Not with 10.8.4

It'll install and run on Mountain Lion if you install it with Pacifist.

iDVD was not working, called apple care...they said it was not supported an probably does no work in 10 8 4. Apple saw no reason to tell people that before the installed it as they have decided no one needs to burn a DVD anymore...so, I guess that's it...the Geeks have spoken:confused:

I am just telling you that AppleCare told me that they would not be interested in trouble shooting as it is no longer supported in 10.8.4 and that I should
find new app to burn mp4 in AppStore.
