I just ordered the following spec'd 15" rMBP.

Decided to consolidate my machines due to recent job change. I will be selling my 2012 13" MBA and my 2010 27" iMac to pay for it. Looking forward to the simplification.

I'm in a similar position, selling my 2008 mbp and 2011 iMac. iMac gets no real use due to being at work all day.

Just got my refurb 13" retina...this thing is amazing. Didn't win the refurb lottery though :D

Running 1680x1050 scaled on a 13" laptop in OS X is awesome.

Should I wait to buy?

So , they JUST updated the Macbook pro 13 in retina display as you all know, that's the one i've been planning on purchasing (new)...however i was also told about the june/conference/possible reveal..and my question is, now that the price dropped on the retina and it got a little boost in specs, should i purchase now or wait until june to purchase?

I have an older macbook pro from about 3/4 years ago and am looking to upgrade and sell this one off to a family member but i would like to get the most bang for my buck in terms of specs etc. I'm eager to purchase, i'd buy today if i knew it wasn't going to be upgraded again in june (what a loss that would be ) but if it's not going to be, then i might as well..

any advice, tips, news updates? Thanks

I got my refurb 13" rMBP. I could swear that it's a new machine. It's in perfect condition, and the screen is out of this world. It replaced my 2010 MBA, and I couldn't be happy about the upgrade! This computer will be getting me through my Ph.D. dissertation and lots and lots of statistical analyses. I think it'll be a good companion. :)

New here been using macs for years and 2 weeks ago I brought a new macbook pro 13inch (non retina) and love it. I installed 16gb of ram, very fast and love the new design, did not opt for the retina, no need for the fancy display and little harddrive. The display to me on the mbp is beautiful and I can hook it up to my desktop display anyway if needed. I already had a incase sleeve 5yrs old and still like new also installed the speck matt black shell and love it. I cant believe how quiet it is compared to my old white macbook. The gestures some i had to turn off lol i kept hitting the trackpad with 2 fingers everytime or all the time.

Time to update. The misses has been using my MBP a lot, so it's turned into the family MBP. Can't have that, so I just purchased the stock mid-2012 cMBP. Getting 16 Gigs of RAM in the mail in a day or two, and have everything backing up to the home-NAS in timemachine.

Best I've felt about the home situation in a long time.

Just picked up my 13" MBP 4GB/500GB HD. Upgraded the RAM, took out the superdrive and installed an SSD drive in its place.

So far I like how this book performs. Fairly quick and quiet :) Sad to say....this little laptop contains more RAM than what is installed in my MacPro...

I'm about to pull the trigger on a 13" retina. My two options:

Late 2012 2.5 w/ 256gb for $1498
Early 2013 2.6 w/ 256gb for $1599

I know that they are virtually identical computers, especially for my use. It would probably be silly to spend an extra $100 when I'll probably never notice the difference.

just received my 13" rMBP 2.9 I7 8/512 refurb..can't tell the difference between a new one..absolutely pristine shape and I'm digging it. I currently have a late 2009 iMac 27"..debating on whether to sell it or just use it as a target display..will definitely wait for the thunderbolt display refresh before making a decision..so I'm in Mac heaven.
