A friend of mine broke the glass on her iPhone 5. No Applecare. Does anyone know how much it will cost to have it fixed?

Thanks!

Ouch! I guess Apple Care pays off sometimes. The phone was only $126.

What kind of repair shop? Never been anywhere else with an iPhone except the Apple store.

If anyone knows of a place in the RI/MA area that can fix it, that will be great!

You can go a a repair shop and it'll probably cost under $100. Might void the warranty but it'll be fixed.

Not for an iPhone 5 screen replacement. The replacement screens themselves from third party sellers are well over $200. The typical iPhone 5 screen replacement from a third party cell phone store will run around $300.

There is another thread talking about the price of the assemblies if you'd like to reference that for some more insight on the prices of the iPhone 5 screens

The Apple store in Providence wanted $226.00 yesterday.

I guess it depends on the store, but I just received a replacement iphone after cracking my screen. No Apple care, just under the one year warranty. Single crack the width of the phone.
