I noticed that too. Is it even worth it to upgrade from a mid-2011 server 2.0ghz i7 to one of the newer server models?

I have a question about this- would the 2.6 GHz CTO quad core show up as a separate model from the 2.3 GHz quad? Or would it be a luck of the draw situation that you may get the faster processor, in the same way people occasionally get more ram or a larger hard drive than specified?

Either way, that $679 2.3 GHz quad core is a pretty sweet deal.

Pulled the trigger on one a couple weeks ago and it arrived to my local retail store damaged. After a couple hours on the phone and a couple days' wait I was able to get a replacement, though (same model, but new at the same price)
