Permissions repair safe on Fusion Drive?

I have a new (5 week old) 27" Core i7 iMac with Fusion Drive. I'm just curious if a permissions repair is safe on the Fusion Drive or could it cause problems? I recall reading a post where someone said they bricked their machine by doing a permissions repair, but I feel like there was something else going on there. Anybody have experience with this?

No, repairing permissions won't do the Fusion Drive any harm. As you said, there must have been something else going on with the guy who bricked his computer.
