Hi,

Well, at first i though this was a hardware problem with my brand new MacBook pro retina 15".
As i turn up the volume with the button and the volume goes over 90%, the macbook restarts.
This also happends if i try adjust the volume in OS X generally.

That's more than likely a hardware problem. Mine doesn't do that. Bear in mind that the power and volume up buttons are next to each other so it may be as simple as something on the volume button catching on the contact for the power.
