T-Mo's prices are way cheaper than AT&Ts prices were and I'm getting unlimited data now vs 3GB for more money!

Why did you switch over to t-mobile

Isn't it cheaper to have verizon with 4 smartphones on the account?

Not if you sign up all of the smartphones with T-Mobile's $30 unlimited text/100 minutes/5 gb cap on 4G speeds

I'm confused on what you said. Do you mean that it's $30x4 smartphones and each smartphone gets their own separate plan of unlimited text/100 minutes/5 gb cap?

Yes, it is $US30 per smartphone, so it is $US120 for all 4 phones. Each smartphone gets their own separate plan of text, minutes, and high speed data cap. However, it is to note that this is a prepaid plan, and not a family plan. But still, the amount of value and savings is unmatched.

Nope. Not unless you have 4 people who don't use very much data. If you can get by with 4 people sharing about 2-4GB of data on the share plan then Verizon might be able to come close to T-Mobile price.

For me I have 5 Verizon lines and the monthly price of service after taxes is around $285 with a 20% discount factored in. For 8GB of shared data.

The T-Mobile plan that I have set my lines up for is around $227 after taxes with a 15% discount factored in. This is for 2 phones with unlimited data, 1 with 2.5GB and the other 2 with 500MB. No extra $15 for going over either.

Too many reasons to vote:

Cheaper plans
I didn't get worthwhile speeds on Verizon/AT&T
I can keep three phones activated for less than what I paid for two on AT&T even though I don't need three - $130 one is $70, the other two are $30
Data on T-Mobile is so fast I can keep it on instead of my WiFi

Great deal. Every phone gets 5GB data, after 5GB it's edge speeds. I have this on two phones.

4 lines unlimited talk text and data $180 + 8% discount. Thinking about adding 3 more lines for $30

Verizon LTE doesn't work in the midtown area of NYC
Borrowed an old phone with HSPA42 for a few days and service was very consistent with good indoor coverage

So I am switching this week

I switched because of the cost.

I'm currently paying $210 for Share Everything with 4 smartphones with 1GB of data with Verizon.

Going to T-Mobile, we'll be paying $100 for 500MB of data on each of the 4 lines for $100. Plus $80 equipment fee. Total of $180.

So we get a little more data (we are very light data users), and save $30.

Plus the ladies in my life usually don't really care about upgrading their phones as much as I do so obviously after the 2 year mark, my monthly payment drops by at least $40 more.

T-Mobile - Cheap, truly unlimited data, no overages, free mobile hotspot, no contract, less money down, and another feature that they haven't released to the iPhone yet, Wifi Calling.

T-Mobile also will honor the discount from http://www.studentrate.com

It says 10% off the monthly rate but a T-Mobile rep over chat and on the phone, verified it's actually 15%

You have to fill out a form though and either fax or email it over to them.

Actually, according to the website and the person I spoke to at T-Mobile you cannot get free mobile hotspot with the unlimited data plan. You can only get the free mobile hotspot if you choose the 2gig or 500mb plans.

You can still add a certain amount of hotspot data to your unlimited plan for an additional fee (similar to AT&T and Verizon).
