Apple announced iTunes 5.0 today. The updated version of Apple's popular jukebox software provides many long requested features. These include:

- Streamlined design
- Smart Shuffle
- Can organize playlists into folders
- Search bar
- Windows users can sync with Outlook and Outlook Express
- Parental controls for iTunes Music Store
- Album Reviews

iTunes 5 will be available today.

Just downloaded and about to restart. So freaking excited!!! I wonder if iPod nano is in the Apple Stores right now. There's one down the street from my school...

Wonder how long it will be before the other iLife apps, Safari, and the Finder become plasticized as well.

Well, I am downoading it now. Pretty excited about the new folder options. Especially excited about getting my Nano. Hopefully it will be shipped by the end of the week.

Plastic like Mail 2.0? I like the brushed iTunes interface!

Like the sound of smart shuffle though.
