This is the week the networks announce their fall schedules and you find out what stays and what is cancelled.

Fox is up first.
Notes from FOX conference call:
Goal is year-round programming. Not going to focus on 22-episode seasons. 12-, 15- and 17-episodes seasons for several shows this year (none specifically mentioned) Premieres will be staggered year-round.
Bones will move to Fridays in November
X Factor Judges will *not* be announced at upfront today
Animation Domination HD premieres in July
The Following comes back in January
Glee gets a full season, but is split between spring and fall. There was a looooooong pause when a question was asked about whether the two-season pickup means the show is "marching towards an end" Take that for what you will.
Rake will premiere after NFC championship in January
Gang Related premieres in May
24 is officially confirmed for 12 Episodes. Will "probably" premiere in May.

Glad Grimm and Revolution are back on the Peacock. A bit sad about Revolution, though. They filmed the pilot and first season here in Wilmington, but the second season will be shot in Texas. Not a shock, as its been discussed, just employs A LOT of locals. That's how the biz works...

As for Fox, meh. Sundays for football and that's about it. Until May-ish of '14, of course. Somebody's gettin' tortured and I can't wait to root Jack on! :)

I had not heard of this show until seeing your post. Hmm... interesting.
“MARVEL’S AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D.”

Clark Gregg reprises his role of Agent Phil Coulson from Marvel’s feature films, as he assembles a small, highly select group of Agents from the worldwide law-enforcement organization known as S.H.I.E.L.D. Together they investigate the new, the strange and the unknown around the globe, protecting the ordinary from the extraordinary. Coulson’s team consists of Agent Grant Ward (Brett Dalton), highly trained in combat and espionage; Agent Melinda May (Ming-Na Wen), expert pilot and martial artist; Agent Leo Fitz (Iain De Caestecker), brilliant engineer; and Agent Jemma Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge), genius bio-chemist. Joining them on their journey into mystery is new recruit and computer hacker Skye (Chloe Bennet).

“Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” Marvel’s first television series, is from executive producers Joss Whedon (“Marvel’s The Avengers,” “Buffy the Vampire Slayer”), Jed Whedon & Maurissa Tancharoen, who co-wrote the pilot (“Dollhouse,” “Dr.Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog”). Jeffrey Bell (“Angel,” “Alias”) and Jeph Loeb (“Smallville,” “Lost,” “Heroes”) also serve as executive producers. “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” is produced by ABC Studios and Marvel Television.

From the description it sounds a lot like Fringe on FOX. A big question in my mind is how much will they have appearances or cameos by known Marvel superheros. It certainly has some big names behind it and looks to be a fun experiment in prime time TV.

I watched these shows because my wife wanted to give them a try. They were entertaining enough, but cetainly not captivating or engrossing.

Cameos would be cool but tough to pull off properly. Love to see it though. And you're right, with the names behind it, it could certainly happen.

NBC's Hannibal is interesting. While some of the content is quite disturbing, the basis of the plot is very intriguing. I've enjoyed the episodes I've seen. With its graphic nature though, not sure of its mass market appeal, or how long you could drag the story out. Anybody else watching?
