Hello

Is there a way to set a Rule in my Mac Book Air 2012, which will show all my Unread mails in say RED color. The moment it is read, it should turn to Black

Sure, just set up a rule in Mail.app. Under preferences -> Rules.

EDIT: scratch that. I went way too fast. According to what I have read on a fast search, there's no such option.

A rule won't work as they only execute as new mail comes in.

You might be able to get some of the functionality you want by setting up a smart mailbox (in the Mailbox menu of Mail app) to show only unread. Then when you click the smart mailbox it will only show unread, while you main inbox would still show read and unread. No colors though.
