If they do it won't change much, probably just A6 and a slightly better camera and native iOS 7.

I could say the same thing with the iPhone: The 4S just has A5 vs A4 on iPhone 4 and it has a better camera. You're pretty much right, but it not only could have A6 but also 1GB of ram, an iPhone 5 camera but better.

And I recently thought about my previous pattern which every new gen. will support one iOS version more, I think I was wrong. Every iPod Touch supports three different systems:
1st gen supports iOS 1, 2, 3
2nd gen supports iOS 2, 3, 4
3rd gen supports iOS 3, 4, 5
4th gen supports iOS 4, 5, 6
5th gen... iOS 6, 7 and 8.
That's why 6th gen must be released in 2014, so before WWDC 2015 will announce iOS 9 then 5th gen will be dead.

SO: Don't expect 6th gen come out this september.

The camera for the next generation Ipod Touch will probably be upgraded from the current 5MP to the Iphone's 8MP camera. The camera in the Iphone 5S is rumoured to be upgraded fron 8MP to 11MP.

That would be good, but I'm waiting iPhone 5S to also record in 1440p.

No, but if the iPhone 5S does, then it would be the best video quality on any mobile devices.
That would be awesome, since everyone's stuck on 1080p; nobody want to go further. So stupid.
Why go further than 1080p when that's the current TV display standard? I know of no DSLR that does more than 1080P video, so why should a pocket device do video higher than 1080P?

Wow, are there any devices that currently record in 1440?
Not5 that I know of.

Well why they are still on 1080p when they could be on 1440p? Plus I saw some 4K TVs at BestBuy priced for like 7000$. People are really stuck at the same definition for years and suddenly they switch to 4K? That's illogical. For some reason, technology developpement has stopped for a while. I wish to see 4K TVs in 5 years at 500$.

The jump will likely be from 1080P to 4K. Who knows how long it will take 4K TVs to drop in price, it could happen in 5 years like you wish or it may take longer.

And then you would need movies that are shot in 4K to be available to really get the most out of a 4K TV.

Wait, by pattern order it must be released this year:
The first iPod Touch was compatible up to iOS 3
The second iPod Touch was compatible up to iOS 4
The third iPod Touch was compatible up to iOS 5
The fourth iPod Touch was compatible up to iOS 6
So, why wouldn't the fifth be compatible with up to iOS 7? That's why they should release the 6th a year before iOS 8 come.

Because they skipped a year of the iPod touch. The 5th generation will be up to date until iOS 8, so it's still a good device to get until 2015 when they release iOS 9. I bet iOS 8 on the 5th generations hardware will be like iOS 6 on the 4th generations hardware.. Trash.. Lmao.

----------

The 5th generation iPod touch should have gotten the A6 chip with only 512MB of RAM, instead of the A5. Just like the 4th generation had the A4 with 256MB of RAM and the iPhone 4 had the A4 wtih 512MB of RAM. But, because Apple is now skipping a year in the iPod touch lineup (because smartphones are taking over a world) it's really not surprising of the iPod touch's hardware.

Just thought asking to you: Have you read my second post about pattern? I know they skipped, but if they wouldn't, the 5th gen would support to iOS 7, and I would post this message on an 6th gen iPod Touch (writing this on 5th gen).
