New Tones for iOS 7

Post updated with ringtones!

Apple has created a whole new look for iOS 7, but they haven't created new sounds to replace the old ones (at least not yet). I think there should be some new sounds for the new operating system, so I created some with Logic Pro X. They are simpler, shorter, and more modern and fitting of the operating system. I hope you enjoy them.

You can download them through Dropbox below. Once they are downloaded, just open them with iTunes, and they should import into your Tones library. Then, just sync your iDevice with iTunes and you should have the new tones available to select in Settings. Let me know if it doesn't work. Note: There is a bug with Mavericks DP5 that may prevent you from syncing your phone.

You can preview the sounds by going to the links on your iPhone and clicking download. It will play inside of the browser.

These are very nice! Welcomed addition.

Question though. I was able to upload them fine to my iPad but they won't sync with my 5. Any thoughts? I have unchecked ringtones and synced my phone then reselected ringtones and synced with no luck. Seems odd since I haven't done anything different.

Edit: Nevermind a simple restart of iTunes fixed it.

Old ones don't need to be REPLACED but more is welcomed. These are pretty good, thanks for taking the time to make them.

What does need to be REPLACED is the lock sound! When you press press the lock button in iOS 6 the phone's screen turns of quickly but in iOS 7 it fades out so the locking sound is inconsistent. It drove me nuts! Apple needs to make it more harmonic.

I disagree, to a point

The more I think about it the more I like my cousins (the blogger in my sig) idea. Make things like sounds, keyboard etc plug ins that we can download as we want them. And allow third parties to create some of those plug ins and put them up via the store system. That way they can still be vetted by Apple etc.

You could do all kinds of things with this idea and with way less bloat. Siri voices, international languages and keyboards, theme packs (similar to the JB ones), fonts, templates in apps including Apple's own iMovie and Pages, loops in GarageBand. even things like MathType support

So in that sense they could replace and augment system sounds. By letting us pick what we want and dump the rest
