The only suitable time to buy a new Apple product is whithin its first 6 months since the release. After that you'd rather wait unless you desperately need it. Judging from your reaction, you wasn't so desperate.

As if, tell that to all the MBPr buyers that were waiting for the new ones. Still waiting. Buy when you need it.

in the end, it's still your decision. people here are biased to their own opinions. do yourself a favor and just do what you think is best. as for me, i bought, ipod classic, ipod nano, ipod touch, MBPr 15", iphone 3/3g/3gs/4/4s/5, MB 13", ipad 3R and ipad mini without asking anyone if it's right or wrong. i do what i think is best for me - I JUST BUY IT (coz i want it).

PS - i am not an Apple fan boy. i just love their products for it's IOS and great UI.

You have a return period, if you can wait for the announcement I suggest using it.
