My red is looking quite dirty after just a week so going to use my black for a while or go back to the spigen ImageUploadedByTapatalk1381316840.371235.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1381316854.824766.jpg

I'm going to try and pick up a black one as my red hasn't stood up well at all. It looked great when it was new, but it's got grubby and marked very quickly probably due to my work. So going to try the black version as that seems to be the best for ageing and staying clean looking.

Which one do you prefer? The Spigen or Apple case? Which one is heavier and makes the iPhone more bulky?

My red came in last night.. Looks sexy.. I am very OCD with my electronics so I will see how long I can last with it starting to age. I think the aging is fine, but its dirt that scares me.. lol

BTW that cable is a lighted lightning cable by Rocketfish and it has a pretty big end and it fits

Also I seen someone talking about a drop test with these cases.. Here is the youtube video showing a guy drop test an iphone with this case on it

I would say the apple case is slightly lighter than the spigen but you can't tell the difference, the spigen makes the iphone bulkier but again nothing to worry about, I love them both but will probably go back to the spigen I just find sometimes when taking the phone out of my pocket in the apple case it's slightly out of the case which worries me that if I dropped it the phone would come out ,whichever you choose you will be happy with both fantastic cases

I was going to go with the black case but seeing yours with red I'm definitely going to get a red one now!

Do you think the cable charges the phone any slower since it's using some electricity to power up the bulbs in the cable? Where can I get it online (outside of the US)?

That cable looks sweet and I'm buying one. Thanks for sharing!

Oddly enough, my iPad 4th gen camera picked up on some wear on a back corner, but honestly speaking it really can't be seen with my vision. Only in this pic did I notice it.

No regrets though. Just like a good leather wallet, it will age well as time goes on. It's still a great case.

My personal opinion about the case is that it's definitely nice and thin. I like the feel of it in my hands and also the apple embossed on the back of the case. But I am not liking the raising of the edges on the front of the phone. It doesn't seem to be high up enough for the phone to be protected. It could be just me. I will keep it for now but I will be getting a case that is a little more protective. Mind you I have seen worse in other cases. Its not half bad.

I don't see it as protection at all. Except maybe some basic scratch protection. I don't need a heavy drop protection either. Accidents happen however then it is a matter of luck anyway and that basic protection may suffice.

That raising of the edges you mention is for laying the phone facedown, without the screen touching the surface. At the same time it prevents the phone from slipping out. I like it.

Yes I know its for when laying down the phone. I think it could be raised a little more but otherwise I like the case. I think the shock absorbent material they have in some cases are actually beneficial.

I ordered the black leather case along with my 5s and it's a nice case, but ultimately I returned it. The fit, feel in hand, and cutouts are pretty much perfect. However, the leather just doesn't feel like it will hold up for a year. When I returned it at the Apple store today, the worker asked why i wanted to return it. I basically told him, it's a great case, but the leather feels too fragile...that I would be worried about messing up the case. He then replied, "Haha, that's the exact reason why I didn't buy one also...just peace of mind" He said he's already seen a few people come in with scuffs and rips on their leather cases. In the end, the case is meant to protect the phone and I think it will, but I'm pretty anal-retentive and I would want to protect the case too considering how thin the leather is. Guess it's back to the Magpul or Diztronic cases I was using on the 5.

What are you a builder or something. It wouldn't damage with normal use.

I also have the impression that the leather is paper-thin. Considering the dimensions and the stiffness(palstic beneath the leather) of the case it has to be extremely thin.

I can see it tearing by unintentionally scraping it against a rough surface like a wall or concrete.

I guess its the price for beeing unbulky. Regardless I will keep mine if it doesnt fall apart by itself.

Is anyone able to confirm or deny that this works with the Bose imie2 headphones? I can't seem to find a straight answer.

I have a pair of the Bose 20i and they work with the case. I have a pair of the of the MIE2i at home and will check tonight when I get home.

Yeah! Brown wears the best! I want to see what it looks like after a month! :D

I haven't picked mine up yet. Probably black, but brown is really catching my eye now.

I'm just like you. I picked up a Black one last week, and I love it, but I find myself "losing" my iPhone -- a lot.
(I put it on black surfaces & it camouflages, haha.)
