What ever happened to New Displays? I though they were supposed to come out in early November? What happened? It is not early November anymore. Do you guys think they will come out in MWSF? Have any ideas? Thanks again

I wonder if we'll even see them before MWSF? I would imagine that they'd want to so they can take advantage of the Xmas buying season. Oh well, maybe something will leak.

we need a 19" widescreen
the 22" is too expensive, with a 19" the price of the 22 would go down

how's this:

new 17" widescreen $799
new 19" widescreen $999
22 new? widescreen $1499
23 widescreen $1899

I would like to see the 17" at $699, but I seriously doubt they'll put the 23" at $1899. It would ROCK, but I doubt it.

I think displays are a good cantidate for a MWSF revision.

With Apple obviously trying to impact sales and stock prices less with each MW, it seems we'll see more peripheral updates at MW, with machine revisions as parts/market demand/allow.

This means that displays, iPods, iDunnos, and upcoming technologies (Rendevous, OS updates, 970 powered Xserves/PowerMacs, etc.) should get the lion's share of the MW press.

I think we may get Xserve updates soon.

I wouldn't be surprised to see new displays, iPod revisions, maybe an iDunno at MWSF, as well as iTunes 4 and iSync 1.0. Maybe a few speed bumps (iMac, maybe eMac).

A 19" 1600*1024 at $1000-$1500 is reasonable, and the 23" to the 22"'s prices perhaps. The 23" is already very affordable in the 23" 1900*1200 market. Sun, Samsung, and others are all at least $3500.

I would also not be surprised to see a Demo of a 970 powered XServe or PowerMac at MWNY, more iApp revisions.

Has anyone heard about the Gateway flat screen? I mean, I hate gateway as much as the next guy, but holy crap! How can they only charge 3 GRAND for a 40" flat screen?

I don't know the specs on it our anything. I just saw thier really dumb tv commercial.

I accidentally my whole location.
That's actually a pretty good deal.
You'd pay over a $1000 more for a similar plasma display with non-square pixels @ 1024x768.

The really good (and really expensive) plasmas don't go too far over 1,365 x 768, so don't expect good resolution at a good price for a plasma anytime soon.

you should all know by now that Apple charges a 10-20% premium over the general market prices for their displays and other hardware. Why do you even bother suggesting prices that are BELOW market prices.

You will NOT see a 19" with 1600 x 1024 resolution in the $1000-1500 range while Formac charges $1699 for a 20". Maybe $1499 if you're lucky.

I'd love a 19" widescreen for under a grand, just as much as the next guy, but it ain't gonna happen.
