Picture of your Bike...[BICYCLES ONLY PLEASE]

Well, I liked the Public D8i so much I bought another one (M7i) so my friend could go riding too.

Tried setting it up as fixed gear. I like it, but don't at the same time. Swapped my wheel back to my coaster brake setup this morning. Taken last night at 10PM with my Moto X, after a ride to get some ice cream and I happened to find some good store lighting on the side of the building.

Here are my bikes!

The first one pictured is my 2013 Scott Gambler 20. I use it solely for Downhill and Freeride. Fox 40 203mm fork, as well as 210mm rear-travel from the Fox Vanilla Shock. Needless to say, it's a beast. I've used it plenty in our local bikeparks, and I even brought it to Whistler for two and a half weeks last summer.

The second one is my Cross-country race-machine! A 2013 Scott Genius 730. I bought it last autumn for a great price to replace my 2009 Scott Genius 40. The way this thing climbs is amazing! 27.5" really do make a difference over the 26" equivalent I used to have.

Last but not least, a picture of my entire stable before I sold my old 2009 Genius.

I've finally joined the cyclist club! I'm 26 and haven't been on a bike since the 8th grade... lol. Spent about an hour and a half today going around Lady Bird Lake trails in Austin, TX and had a great time! Except my butt does hurt. I'm going to give it a bit more time but I feel like a seat cushion or a different seat pad will be in my near future. I was a little worried getting back on a bike after a 13 year hiatus but it really wasn't too bad. I had one slip up with getting a bit nervous when I was crossing a narrow bridge with people coming from the other way so I messed up and kinda fell off my bike/rubbed my forearm on the wooden railing. I didn't do a complete spill or anything, just an awkward slip up. They apologized but I said it was my bad as I'm sure it was. It was uncomfortably narrow but I'm sure someone more seasoned wouldn't have gotten nervous and goofed. Honestly though, I'm pretty happy I didn't do anything worst. There were a lot of people and I did have to do some city riding. We have a lot of bike lanes down here though so I felt comfortable and adhered to stop signs, etc.

Picked up a helmet, water bottle holder, water bottle, front light, small pouch, Kryptonite bike lock and of course the bike.

I picked up a Novara Buzz from REI. It's nothing impressive but I like the feel of the bike a lot.




I'm going to have to look online how to put the locks on but I think I got it pretty well covered. lol. It's behind a coded gate at my complex too.

^ you may want to try leveling out the saddle before you ride next time. In the pics, it looks like it is nose down, and that can make for an uncomfortable ride. Also, it may be the incorrect size for you, and that can also be uncomfortable. You can get your sit bones measured and then buy a corresponding saddle to match. You can also get biking shorts to wear underneath regular shorts. That adds some padding and will help with comfort. Biggest thing is probably just you getting readjusted to riding a bike again.

Pretty awesome. I dig their mixties, I see a girl on the path now and then with one, rocking a front basket and Pomeranian. Gets the bell rung.

I built a bike for dreaming, velo orange campeur with all the trimmings. Been on it since my last post here almost, on three continents, through the rainforest and up to the arctic circle. I would never do this, but if I had to choose one bike..

New commuter!!

2013 Felt TK3 fixed gear. 48:15 gear, carbon fork, Shimano Sora front brake since I am not insane. All stock minus the stem/bullhorns which came off my other bike. Looking for a Thomson stem/post combo to finish it off. Pictured in night commute mode with a Niterider Lumina 700 up front and a Serfas Thunderbolt on the back.

Just put on some new wheels (Mavic Ellipse) and new crankset (SRAM omnium). Now I just need a new frame

my trek 3700, its nothing special but gets the job done for me...for now

Recovered from breaking my hip last year. Sold the CAAD10 and found an unbelievable deal on this SS. Now to save up next year to get full Ultegra maybe, but this will do for now








(excuse the pedals, will swap out for my speedplays once I get back into the swing of things...)

How do you like your Gatorskins? Thinking about picking up a set for my bike.

They are very good, especially in Toronto I'm always riding over broken glass and have yet to get a flat. Highly recommend. I see you ride a very aggressive ratio, how is it on hills? your going to have to watch out as there are only 5 skid patches with that setup.

To be honest, the terrain here is fairly flat. There are 2 small hills on my daily commute, and I just hammer it down and set to it. I don't skid so I don't have to worry about that. I run a front brake because I haven't mastered that skid, and I worry about the chain breaking or excessively wearing the rear tire down. I just use my legs to slow myself down, and then I have the front brake for an emergency stop if needed. Only had to do that once, and I threw my weight backwards to prevent going over the bars. That was just a natural instinct to do, and it worked out very well.

Once you start skid stopping you'll never look back and I wouldn't worry about breaking the chain, they are strong. Your set up would be hard to learn skidding on because of the gear ratio. I learned on a 42-16. Good-luck!

Yup, the Select version with undyed leather and copper rivets. I like the undyed saddle for keeping the seat color off my taint when I ride in khaki.

How about my DIY 5 bike rack that fits on top of pop up camper?
I'm right now in week 2 of 3 week out west vacation, driven over 3,000 miles with this set up.
Cross strap from the front trailer tounge area , wrap the 2x4 so it does not shift, then the strap hooks into the under frame.
Rear strap pulls frame down tightly.
Used 2x4 lumber, 5 fork mounts, 4 cinch straps, felt pads underneath to not mar the trailer.

No comments for over a month.. Jeez!

Just bought a used Salsa Mukluk. I haven't had much of a chance to get any particularly good pictures of it yet, but here are a couple after my first ride to the bike shop to get a tune-up.

Just picked up this slightly used Framed Minnesota 2.0 on Sunday from a friend. Made a few minor adjustments, and I cannot erase the smile off my face.

Nice.. did the rims come with the holes or did you drill them yourself?

I'm thinking about either getting new ones or trying to drill them myself.

Cube Reaction 2009. Carbon fiber, very fast, good stuff, but not ultra-high-end.
