guys.. i am having a bad time searching for battery replacements..
Did you guys have replaced ? I saw a ANker brand on amazom.. also a " genuine" refurbishied...
I was looking for a a1381 mide 2010 15 inches battery.,.. I read a lot of mixed reviews and some of those batteries are 60 wh instead of 77.5 of the genuine...
Also i found NuPower from NewertTech...

Anyone have a say on this matter?
Thanks again..

820-3115B not charging LED green

Water damage.....Cleaned up . OS says battery not charging.

Everything works except battery won't charge.

SMC bypass is required to boot machine. When using a charged battery it boots normally.

Magsafe LED is constant green . Slight pulsing noise when connected to charger.

Can boot with just magsafe connected.

I have the schematic and brd files for this . Tried another battery and DC board.

Any help for this ?

I HAVE MBP 13 2010

water damage, cleaned it booted ..

so i replaced a again then same thing happened.

after the 3rd time it blew i noticed the big 6a fuse, white was not right value so i replaced.

all fuses are now testing perfect but now is will not power on.

ghot
left pad is 3.40
right pad is not grounded so it will not boot.
and will not boot at keyboard connectors either.

magsafe is good green then Orange light
dc in is all so good

what has happened.??? i checked the board for shorts non present

what could cause the right pad not to complete the circuit

many thanks guys

i fixed some A1342 with no power issue.
If you have g3hot and battery driver working, you have green light.

Check battery fuse, you will see 12V. Next check TPS51125 5v3v regulator.

Hello Nicoar,
excuse me the delate answer.
After the Measurement of TPS51125 happen the miracle!!! The Macbook startet.
I don't know why, but the best is, it work :)
Do you have experience also with MBA A1369 and MBP A1278?

Good news.
All macbook pro has similar power sequence.

16.5 > battery and g3hot > SMC > 3.3 and 5v > vcore >GPU...

First check fuses, g3hot and charger circuit..

I have taken some measurements : NO battery connected.

With just magsafe connected at d6990 one side is steady at 16.7
the other side pulses between 3.6 and 12.7.

Again with just magsafe but now i have smc bypass (5sec power pads short)

at d6990 16.7 and now 12.3. steady

any input welcome.

MacBook screen died. :(

I have a MacBook Pro, 2011 Intel based 13in., and the screen went black on me. I was able to get the screen functional again with a temporary fix I found from googling this problem. I'm writing this to see if anyone on here knows of this problem or has encountered it before. I'm sure that it is a hardware problem and will need repaired, but I would like to know is how much will it cost? The temporary fix I found was pressing F1 to dim the screen and then tapping F2 gradually until it came back on. :apple:

I have now another Board to repair:

Macbook Air "13 A1369 mid 2011 with no power Issues

The first steps are ok, but U7201(3.3 and 5v) give me just 8,38v and 3,29v.
Ist this IC blow?

Any Help my friends?

Another question... is this the SMC chip? (see picture below). I checked the voltages at several points coming off the chip and I got either 3.42V or 0V.

According to the schematics I found for the previous generation 15" unibody, pin 4 on the keyboard connector is G3HOT, while pin 5 is the on/off switch. When I measure pin 4, I get 3.42, and pin 5 is 3.38. Not sure why there is a difference there.

My guess is that the SMC chip is ok. The SMS bypass did not work for me, so I believe that reinforces the point that the SMC is not the problem. I have power at various points on the board, so I do not think it is a problem with a blown fuse.

I am at a loss as to why this thing won't turn on.

Do you see green light on magsafe?
In TPS51125 you need to see 4 featured voltages:

12v coming from battery charger ( battery fuse)
3.3 v present in inductor
5V present in cap
and about 2.2 v on vref signal.

if you get just 8,8v instead 12v may yoiu have bad charger circuit.

First, upload picture, maybe you are not taking measurement correctly

Do you mean the ISL6259HRTZ is faulty?

NOOOO! :D
macbook airs run at 8v
i replaced isl6259 once because i saw 8v and was confused.
I found it was meant to be 8v by noticing the abttery is only rated for 7.5v lol
Good luck :)

I compare the voltage from i working Logicboard also MBA 13 2011

Charge Circuit (ISL6259) and 5v/3.3v Power Supply (TPS51980)

By the Charge Circuit ther is difference on

Short 8 - The Voltage on the bad LB is between 1,20 and 1,40v. On the working LB is constant 1,4v

Short 15 - On the Bad LB is 0,05v. On the working is 0v.

By the 5v/3.3v Power Supply ther are much difference. If you want I can post all the voltages.

I don't know now if the Charge circuit is responsible or the 5v-3,3v power supply. or something other????
How is the sequence?

Many Thanks guys.

Do you get 3.3v at the 3.3v inductor?
does the regulator get really really hot?

strange trackpad problem 820-2936

Got a liquid damaged 820-2936 board here
Everything seems to work apart from the trackpad.
The trackpad palm rest temp sensor is fine, the system reacts normally apart from the cursor not recognizing any movement.

keyboard works fine and thus i expect the shared usb controller to be good.
same results in smc bypas
really lost on this one. has to be some data line. but the nets on the schematic arnt very obvius regarding there function
any insight would be awesome.
Thanks

I assume you tried another trackpad?

I assume you tried another trackpad?

ofcourse. Ive tried removing other cables that could interrupt it but still get nothing
The only area that seems corroded is the top of the board around the screen connector so i dont understand what could be interfering with the tackpad.

everything looks clean. ive tested quite a few of the resistors with no faults found yet.

Macbook Air 2010 A1369 delayed start and sleep issue

Hi

I am trying to repair a Macbook Air A1369 2010 edition.
The issue is the macbook takes about 45 sec before i can hear the chime sound.

I have noticed one thing that as soon as we press the power button the fan starts spinning stops after like 10 sec for just one sec and starts spinning again. it does it like this for like 3 times and then I hear the chime sound and the macbook boots fine after that and works perfectly.

Also if the macbook goes into sleep it doesn't wakes up. I have to do a SMC reset in order to power it back again.

I have checked the possible values for 3.4V , 5V , PGood all seems to be correct .

Can any one help me with the issue ?

Thanks in advance . . .
