iPod New to iPod - sorry for dumb question!

Hi all,

I got tipped off that I'm getting a 30GB ipod for Christmas :) Sorry for the dumb question, but have I done the math correctly (Hey, I'm a musician!) ? It will hold app. 500 CDs at 128kbps? Holy Heck! Will this ever make teaching Music Appreciation easier! No more carrying around stacks of CDs (or my PowerBook) from home to office to classroom, etc. Anyway, thanks for any response.

No doubt it can be done, iPods have not always existed; however, if one has to carry around a lot of cds etc. the ipod option should have been exercised a long time ago.

My family is really worried about me, many many family councils to discuss how we will handle the 'bad' news if one doesn't arrive from Santa.
