Thank god I came here after finding out the update was out. Hopefully for those that lost service they can go back to 8.0 and be back up and running.

Come on Apple, seriously? This is the first time I've ever had to warn friends and family AGAINST installing an update from apple for fear it will break vital phone functions. This is very unApple-like. Enough incidents like this will make people start losing faith in the company.

What about Canada?

Anyone have these issues on Canadian Carriers?

personally interested in Rogers customers :D

Updated through iTunes with iPhone 6 on AT&T and no issues here. Connects fine, sending texts, WIFI is fine, ect.

Edit- Calls work fine as well.

How? are they pushing 8.02 without going thru carrier validation?

You have Cell services and Touch ID bugged with this release

They are going to have to i guess, if a massive amount of all users are having issues on all 3 carriers.

I reset network settings, still no service. How does one downgrade to iOS 8.0

You'd have to download the firmware from your Apple Dev account or a site like this:
http://coolestguidesontheplanet.com/ios-ipsw-firmware-download-links-5-0-1-5-1-5-1-1/
(Not sure how trustworthy)
and do an Option Key (Mac) +Restore Button
Shift+Key (Win) +Restore Button

Or try this site:

Mine too. Cell service and Touch ID gone on my iPhone 6. Did nobody bother to test this software before it was released?

Ever since Cook let Ive take over iOS development, quality control has gone completely to hell. Anyone remember 7.0.x on the iPad? What a total disaster! I still can't believe Apple let that software out the door.

Craig Federighi is responsible for iOS engineering not Jony Ive. What does cell service and Touch ID have to do with UI design?
