This is polyurethane, but it's basically the 5/5S case, with protected bottom, which is the one thing I don't like about the new Apple case.

This one is around $20 if you live in Japan...about double that on ebay. Thinking bout grabbing one in black.

Rather than advertising you could have just +1'd in the already existing apple case thread where people have already said it'd be nice if the 5s leather case design was used for the 6 ;)

Yes, you caught me advertising for my Japanese company. And which of the hundreds of case threads are you suggesting I should have posted to?

i've been strongly considering this one:
$_57.JPG

also PU Leather. it does transition to rubber as it curves around, but it gives you full bottom coverage and it looks pretty slim.

While I understand a lot of you don't like that Apple doesn't cover the bottom of their phones with their cases now, I'm very happy that I might be able to buy an Apple case and actually use a dock.

so after much deliberation, i ordered this one in black.

the leather goes all they way around the sides, bottom coverage, and it appears as though the inside is soft like the Apple version.

also, on all the images, it looks like an embossed Apple logo has been photoshopped out. and on all the interior views, the "iPhone, Designed in California, Made in China" text is also poorly photoshopped out. i wonder if these were prototype designs? we'll see when it arrives in two weeks or so.

poor photoshop on the red one:

Please post an update after you've received the case. I've had my eye on that one.

Interesting find. I had wondered why Apple didn't make the bottom covered like the 5S case. I wonder if these are prototypes. Given the curved edge of the phone, I'll bet taking them off puts too much stress on the edges, causing the bottom to break or loosen. Maybe they made a few thousand before discovering the flawed design.

Either way, I'm in for one!

*UPDATE*. Title says real leather but description says PU leather. If they were Apple prototypes or a failed run, they'd be genuine leather. I still bought one for $17 but not expecting much. Not sure why they are photoshopping logos off of cases that, if made of PU leather, were never Apple branded to begin with.

Yeah, I saw that as well. It will be interesting to see what we get! I already got the shipping notification so it's on its way.
Personally, I'm not that hung up on real vs PU leather. It is a phone case, not a wearable item. It it was a belt or gloves or even a bag, then yeah, I look for full grain leather, but the case isn't going to be subject to constant flexing. It is supposed to hold its shape.

I purchased this case from Ebay (heres the link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/321527077967?_trksid=p2060778.m2749.l2649&var=510404706139&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT)

It arrived quickly from China, and it's not too bad for the money. It certainly doesn't feel like REAL leather to me, but I could be wrong. It's a pretty standard TPU case with good overall coverage and cut outs, with the sort of leather type coating adhered to the TPU. It doesn't seem easy to peel or come off, which leads me to believe its a coating, and not glued on material. It's really hard to describe, other than it's typical TPU.

I like it for the money. It looks decent. The case alone was shot with the iPhone 6 Plus, and an iPhone 5 for pictures with the phone in the case.

I was about to order this but I don't see any cutouts for buttons? Have you gotten one yet? I'm afraid the best this things looks is in the pictures.

Edit - I guess I see the buttons similar to apple's current case, maybe I need to just pull the trigger on one.

Thanks for posting pics! That looks like the first one I posted with the mix of leather & TPU. Does the TPU hold its shape pretty well or do you think it will sag after a while?
