iPod Nano Dead?

so i haven't used my nano in a while. about a month or so ago it froze while playing a song and i had to reset it. I left it in my back and checked it a couple days later and the battery had died. i think it turned on accidentally. So i take it out today. I've been busy and polish it up and put it in the dock. It turned on an then show the charge symbol but the the symbole doesn't animate and shows only one bar and there is not color on the screen. Nor does the nano mount on the desktop or in iTunes. ANy ideaS?
