Um 12" what? I'm looking at a 14" and 15"BlizzardBomb said:Surely you can wait two weeks? Well if its urgent I would recommend a 14" iBook, or maybe you can look at the Refurb Store. They have seriously discounted iBooks and PBs. But you do know that you aren't getting any more pixels on the 14" compared to the 12", just larger ones.

As for 2 weeks? I want a PowerPC for now. Last thing on my wish list is a Rev. A iNTELBook.
Yeah my mind's towards the PB too. It's not for me (at least not planning for it to be) but for my brother so playing with ideas right now. The PB is a clearance line at a local store.BlizzardBomb said:I've changed my mind. 15" PB would be better. And I'm saying that both the 12" iBook and the 14" iBook have a 1024x768 resolution.

What problems are these?California said:If the PB is new, go for it. The only advantage in my mine about the 14" is that it has a taller screen more fit for writing and seeing the length of the page, while PBs are better for video and other things. The PB sound a lot better because it probably has a faster hard drive and a larger hard drive, too. But beware the memory slot problem on 15" pbs.

So how is the PB memory configured? Do I assume 512mb onboard and 2 slots? Someone help me outCalifornia said:Check another thread that i just posted on about the lower memory slot problem on 15" PBs. One of our smartest posters on MR, CanadaRam, thinks it is a firmware update that is frying the lower memory slot on 15" powerbooks.

BlizzardBomb said:I think you'll find the 14" iBook has 768 vertical pixels vs. 15" Previous Powerbook's 854 vertical pixels so the 15" would be a lot better to fit more writing. Taller maybe, but widescreen is better and it still has more pixels.
