For those interested, I just picked up a Smart Case for it and it fits perfectly. The fit is actually better than the previous Air Smart Case as there is no gap at the hinge.
Back on the iPad, I may be returning mine for another. The screen is excellent, I'm loving the new bonded screen but there is a very slight murky cast visible in greys. I'm sensitive to this kind of thing and the Air 1 I just sold was perfect in this regard.
Has anyone seen something similar? Just open up the Settings app on a mid to low brightness level and compare the left side to the right.

My case is dispatched but says delivery Mon 27th! It's currently only 60 miles away from me in Hinckley. They should be sent Royal Mail special delivery.....
I'm going to pop in the Bullring store on Friday and have a look at the Smart Cases. Do you think they are worth £65?
Status has been "Available to ship: 2-4 business days" since the order went in and delivery between 22nd to 24th. However, 5 minutes ago it went to "elivers: 28 Oct, 2014 - 30 Oct, 2014 by Standard Shipping".. gutted.
Well - not sure what's going on now! Delivery app just pinged again... it's gone back to Delivers: 22 Oct, 2014 - 24 Oct, 2014 by Standard Shipping

btw. for the record - confirmation email was at 4:35pm - I was driving when the site came back. Plus, I ordered a new cover and cable at the same time (which could be a further complication).
I use fonebank for my iPhone and ipad sales. Their price has always been better than anywhere else I've checked and the service is great! Worth checking.
Can anyone who's received theirs (and has an iPhone) tell me whether Instant Hotspot has much benefit on an iPad?
The ability to activate the hotspot from the tethered device sounds perfect (and would mean I could skip the cellular) but from what I've read that only works from a Mac not from an iPad... I can't try it myself as it's not supported on the iPad 3 I have currently.

I have one on the mini and I like it but I just noticed the edges of the new case are noticeably higher than the screen surface whereas on the mini they are practically flush with the screen. I've just lay the mini and the Air 2 next to each other lying flat in their smart cases. They are both the exact same thickness! It seems they have just taken the original Air smart case and re tooled it for the cut outs on the Air 2 but haven't made the case any slimmer. I'm actually quite disappointed by this. The quality is great and everything lines up perfectly but the case is actually thicker than it needs to be. £65 is a lot of money and I'm borderline if it is actually worth it but I think I will be returning it before the 14 days is up in favour of a third party case.

Thank you for that, wasn't aware of Fonebank. £260, which is slightly better than game (£254), but would involve posting it, as opposed to Game where I just drop it at my local store, and cash in!! But thanks for the tip!!
With all my full size iPads I've always favoured a Smart Cover and a Belkin clear rear shell. I have the smart case on my mini and was contemplating one for the Air 2, but this has put me off.
As in: you can just activate the hotspot from the iPad? (assuming the iPhone Personal Hotspot is toggled on, obviously) No need to touch the phone at all?

I have an Air 1 in an apple leather case and my Dad has a Mini 2 in the apple leather case... i noticed on his that the case seems more flush with the screen that on the Air. ... so this may not be just the Air 2.
I never has the Smartcase for the Air 1 but I can only assume it is more pronounced with the Air 2 given the case is exactly the same width as the retina mini case even though the Air 2 is noticeably slimmer than the retina mini.
I just spoke to customer service; they said that there may be an issue with the system that is causing everything to be pushed back but it may not be real. They are waiting to hear.
Same here for an order placed around the same time as you, although it's still listed as processing so I can't see it arriving today anyway
