thats simply not true. You can reserve a phone easily these days. They pretty much always have a 16GB OR 64GB phone in stock. I could've reserved one just a few days ago. What would be the best way to get an iPhone 6 Plus now that in store pick up isn't working? It seems nearly impossible to pick up an iPhone 6+ in Canada without waiting 3 weeks for it to ship from Apple.

Problem is the online reservation has been down for 3 days and when it's working they never have 128GB.
I'm in Vancouver and they had them all last week. Only 16GB though. There's like 4 stores. Not in Vancouver they don't. It's hard to find a 16GB 6+ available to reserve let alone walk in to an Apple store and find one.
But are those regular phones or UNLOCKED as well? Because contract phones have been available as walk-in forever.
I wonder if there going to be the ones with the cheap RAM and they're clearing them out.
"We got a whole butt-load in guys. Come and pick them up."
Ah ok. In Japan you can reserve both "SIM FREE" iPhones and "contract" iPhones. I guess in N.A. It's only unlocked phones.I assume unlocked - when looking at the actual online reservation system, I never seen the option to reserve a carrier-based phone (unless I overlooked it).
We have adequate supplies for carrier-locked phones here, but definitely not the unlocked ones. It's been painful.
