What do people think the chances of a minor TiG4 revision to include this are? I mean they are redoing the airport etc I'm thinking i'm best to wait a couple of weeks and see or is it not normal for Apple to do minor updates like that?

TiBook and 802.11g?

An update to 802.11g doesn't require an upgrade to the TiBook, It is just new versions of the Airport card and base station. And of course updated device drivers.
This would be a minor change in the TiBook with Airport card bundle. So, it could be part of the 802.11g announcement that the TiBook will start shipping with the new card.
