Ok, we had a good Macworld this time. We got some realy good stuff. Now, my question is, where are the speed bumps? Some sites say they will be at the end of the month. Well, that is all well and good, but what kind of speed bumps can we expect? My guess is:
iMac:
17 - 1Ghz - $1799
17 - 867Mhz - $1499
17 - 800Mhz - $1299
15 - 800Mhz - $999

eMac:
900Mhz - $1199
800Mhz - $799

PowerMacs:
1.5Ghz - $2999
1.25Ghz - $2299
1.0Ghz - $1599

I think these estimates are pretty realistic.

What do you guys think?

I want to see more than a speed bump. Waiting for full use of DDR SDRAM. Hopefully G5 PPC 970, willing to wait, most recent rumors are 3rd Qtr so peri MWNY. Still no announcement on MWNY's future!

Feeling very optimistic after today's Keynote!

My estimates on iMac

19 inch, 1.25 GHz, Superdrive - $2099 (I'll take one!)
17 inch, 1.25 GHz, Superdrive - $1799
17 inch, 1.0 GHz, Combo drive - $1499
15 inch, 1.0 GHz, Combo drive - $1099

All with built in bluetooth, of course.

I know, I know....1.25 GHz would hurt powermac sales, but it's only 1 chip, not 2. Plus, apple needs to put an end to the days of sub 1 GHz processors. ;)

Bluetooth and Firewire 2

Does integrated bluetooth and the new firewire in the top laptop mean that Apple now must update the PowerMacs and iMacs to include these, at a minimum? Would they actually go several months without adding these features?

My guess is that the PowerMac will be updated in early Feb. Everything speaks for that right now. With FireWire 800 in the new PB 17" they have to get it out to the PowerMacs to.
So i would be dissapointed if they weren't updated in the end of this month, or the first week of feb.

I have no idea right now. I would think 1.4 or 1.5 Ghz at the top modells. But i don't trust Apple after today so you never know what they come up with next ;)

If you count on it, IF they stay with 166 Mhz FSB (I doubt it after today) it should be 166*9=1.5 Ghz

Where the 9 is the multipel and 166 the FSB.

iMac...

Before MWSF, I thought that there wouldn't be a 19" iMac, at least not for a long time. But now that they have come out with a 17" Powerbook, who knows? Maybe there will be a 19" iMac with speed bumps.
