Ok so I run my TV is my 2nd display. It's great for working on the monitor and watching Quicktime vids on TV in full screen. I just hit apple + F and then Quicktime jumps to the 2nd display, but with VLC it goes full screen on my monitor instead of TV.

This bothers me.

Thanks for your help everyone

you should be able to just drag the vlc window over to your 2nd monitor (tv) and double click the video to go full-screen on that monitor

in the video menu, there is a submenu that allows you to choose your primary display. set it to your second monitor and you should be fine.
