Shipping time = new iBooks?

Hi!

Since a few days, the est. shipping time for iBooks is between 7 and 10 weeks. I can't believe that Apple is out of stock for 2 (!) months. Is there such a high demand? Or is this a sign that new iBooks are on the way?

Could be but I bet it's tied more to the Powerbook intro than anything. First of all Apple could be holding back on the ibooks to help create demand for the new Powerbooks. Second of all they might have pulled back manufacturing of ibooks so that they could ramp up the Powerbooks for what likely will be high demand.
