From this thread on macosxhints http://forums.macosxhints.com/showthread.php?p=301761
probably your best option would be BitPim (http://www.bitpim.org)
Supports : Phonebook, calendar, ringtones, wallpapers, SMS support, phone info, and phone detection.
(BitPim can read ringtones from the phone.
BitPim can only replace the contents of existing ringtones on the phone. BitPim can neither add new ringtones to the phone, nor delete existing ones from the phone)

some info here
http://homepage.mac.com/jrc/contrib/mobile_office/
(this has info on some mac osx usb data drivers etc)

you could try a USB Transflash Card reader

you could try DataPilot
http://www.susteen.com/phonesupport/en_US/13/5/197
(supports Movies and Images read only)

you could try Moto4Lin

v180 syncing with mac...

Ive also got a v180, and I found DataPilot to be exactly what I was looking for.. let me upload photos to the phone, download all of my stored phone numbers... general goof off- might not have QUITE all of the personalization tools that motorola's own tools have.. but its pretty damn close. Hope that helps.
