I am looking at buying a G3 700 for $200. It needs a hard disk, and I was wondering if this was a fair price ?

I have looked on eBay and see that they go for well over this price currently, but didn't know what to do in this case. It is a local seller and no shipping would be involved so I actually have a chance to look at it first too!

I don't know if I'd pay that price for something that you're not completely sure is messed up because of a hard drive. You can get a 500 mhz ibook for that same price and know that it works. Also, you have to take into consideration that you have to know how to install a new hard drive and the added cost of doing s (for a guide go to ifixit.com). Personally, I wouldn't buy the computer unless it were closer to the $100 region. Then again, I'm cheap:D .
