Just got a C2D MBP a couple of weeks ago but I'm now suffering my first problem. I can't get Mail to work at all. The programme is opening, but all I'm getting is the circle and then I'm having to Force Quit all the time.

I've gone into Disk Utility, but I'm confused. I'm getting this message:
Volume Header needs minor repair
ired.",1)
Macintosh HD
Error: The underlying task reported failure on exit

Please help!

You could try booting from the system disc, going to disc utility from there and repairing the hard disc, if its only a small problem that might sort it. Good luck! Other wise A fresh install might work...? Anybody???

Just noticed I've posted this in the wrong place, goes to show my current level of stress! I've booted from disc and repaired the drive, but Mail still won't work. Can't think of anything else to try

Well if its only new and you don't have to much on there yet you could back up what ever you have on to disc and then formant and re-install... have you run hardware test? Its on the system disc too... I don't remember how you access.

Sorry I can't be of more help.
