Firstly, apologies if this (or similar) has been posted before. I did have a quick check.

I was reading this article on the BBC News website earlier: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/6355449.stm. It was the first time I had heard of 'Orb' (http://www.orb.com/mycasting_f/index.html).

I just think this idea would have been perfect for the iPhone... forget syncing your media, etc., just have an 'always-on' high-speed internet connection at home, and 'broadcast' your content to your phone. All of your iTunes collection (songs, movies, tv shows), all of your photos, live TV (using, perhaps, EyeTV), and even the availability of Skype.

Downside - it relies on WiFi or another Internet connection for receiving the media. But I'm sure this will change or become easier in due course.

Comments...?

I hadn't seen that, and it does look very cool. I'm sure it will happen eventually

Then everyone would need Unlimited date transfer(a good amount of money) plus when the Network slowed the music would stall, or when your out of range, you don't get any music.

Still there is nothing stop orb from doing is with the current iPhone for would who want it
