Yeah, just checking. Gonna get a corsair valueselect 1GB sodimm off fry's for 65 bucks, and just need to know.

If so, how much will it cost?

My guess whould be no.

And, $65 for a 1GB stick?:eek: It's probably not that good anyway. I wouldn't pay less than $100 for a 1GB stick.

I reccomend doing it yourself. It's very simple and requires no computer knowledge.

No, the genius bar will not install 3rd party RAM or any other hardware for that matter (such as a hard drive) into any Mac unless you purchase it direct from Apple. The Corsair memory should be just fine, but as others have mentioned, it's so easy to install yourself that there is no sense in paying someone else to do it.

So...things that are more expensive are automatically better? Wow, I'm glad you're not my accountant.

$100 for a 1 GB stick these days is a complete ripoff. Very good memory can be had for $65-$75 per 1GB, or even less in a couple places.
