texting not working with iphone to blackberry

when i text my friend who has a blackberry he can see me but i cant get his responses. are there setting that need to be changed or is this a flaw?

There's no setting that should cause your iPhone to not display text messages. It's also not a problem that I've seen posted before...

I'd give 1-800-MY-IPHONE a call and see if it's a network or phone problem.

I text back and forth with numerous friends that have BlackBerry's and never have had a problem.

i have texted successfully to a blackberry as well. Did you try more than once?

i have tried with 2 different blackberries and no luck. in fact, i was trying to text someone with a nokia last night and it didnt work either. it works when i text someone who has an iphone but that seems to be it.
