New Apple Keyboard Good For Gaming?

I'm just curious as to how the keyboard effects gaming. As long as you're comfortable using the keyboard, it's all that matters. That's all personal preference. As far as being good for gaming, I don't see a difference.
You're joking, right? A practically laptop-esque keyboard, good for gaming? Good lord, no. Get something that will take a beating and has more key travel. It'll probably work on your PC as it's just a usb device, but I'd go for something more rugged. A cheap dell keyboard would work better (or an old IBM if you're hardcore like that).
Yeah, definitely... the new apple keyboards are definitely not going to be able to be take a pounding...
I personally find the Dell keyboards to be the best. I actually bought their keyboards alone. They have a nice tactile feedback, and I like how the control key is oversized

I switched keyboards and went to the new Mac keyboard. I use it to play WoW and I like the feel quite a bit. My fingers don't get as tired as they used too. The only downfall is that every now and then, I tend to drift my fingers a little bit more on to other keys when I'm not paying attention than I did with my old keyboard. I think in another week, it'll feel very normal. The keyboard just is such a radical change/feel for a normal desktop keyboard. I Love it though.
I'd give it a 7 or 8/10 for gaming, 9 or 10/10 for word processing etc. My wrists would get really achy from long gaming, now I dont get that pain. To me that's reason enough to stay with it.

I think gaming keyboards offer better feedback, especially in the after-press when the keys spring back. I prefer scissor-action keyboards (although the Apple is not my favourite) for general typing though, as they used to cause me to hammer less on the keyboard.
I'm not a monster gamer or anything, although I'm certainly equipped for it. I do prefer using full-travel keys for gaming though. The Dell keyboard referred to above - especially the one with the wrist rest and the media keys - is actually not bad, a similar feel to the Logitech G15.

I have a g15 right now just I want to get rid of it because i dont like having as little software and drivers as possible and they keyboard requires both
i use a new wired imac keyboard on my pc at work with no problems!
ahh with the exception for me where some of the keys on a pc are in the wrong place ie backslash and @ but i personally i dont find it a problem as i know where the keys are without looking for them on the keyboard.

You only need the software and drivers to drive the display and the "G Keys". The software is pretty lightweight, and the drivers are solid - I don't really see what the issue is. If you find it's too large, etc try the Microsoft Reclusa(same situation - you need drivers for the specialised functions but it will work fine without them), or indeed the Dell.
