My ipod nano has gotten pretty hot if it stays plugged into the output for my radio in my truck. I never really thought it would be hot enough to catch fire though.
Here I thought battery fires were only for laptops

That sucks, but as the article indicates, it could have been much worse. I wonder what actually caused the iPod to catch fire, the only time mine ever gets warm is when it has been syncing for extensive periods of time (when i first sync an iPod either new or after being reformated).
