That looks like it'll be an insurance write off. It may work now but the amount that case is damaged i wouldn't be surprised is there was some logic board damage/ other internal components. I wouldn't even bother getting a quote if it where me.

Anything can be repaired for a price. The price on something like this might be the same amount as just buying a new laptop if you repaired it through Apple.

Yes, it can be repaired, but I'm pretty sure the cost would probably come out to be the same as just buying a new one. Just look at it as though it were time to upgrade.

that sucks. hope your wrist heals up quickly. I wouldn't bother getting it repaired if you have insurance just get a new one. i would put the hard drive in an external enclosure so that you still have your data.

Are there any authorised resellers nearby? i think one of the requirements to become authorised to have a repair center, either on site or outsourcing, so they could give you a quote.

My ex did the same recently, dropped her iBook and messed the screen up, went down the reseller store and they gave a quote for £300

If there is no logic board damage, then by the looks of it, you may need a new Superdrive, That clicking noise and errors are the hard drive, so you'll need a new one as those are the sounds of a failing one. You will then need to get the actual case repaired. You can find laptop hard drives anywhere online. However, because I'm American, I don't know of any UK places for computer parts off the top of my head (I wouldn't recommend buying one from Apple or from a store, as they will generally rip you off).

As long as the screen isn't damaged and the logic board isn't damaged, I think it's worth fixing.

The main thing is that you didn't suffer anything worse than a broken wrist. Your home insurance should take care of the rest...

I recommend Endsleigh. You could then have your accident a couple of months from now...
