OK, I may as well, here are some more recent photos of my car since my post near the beginning of that last thread. Click the photos for larger versions of each image:

I picked this up on eBay after wanting one for ages, i'm a big fan of euro hot hatches my last car was a Renault 5 GT Turbo which was quick as fook with 160 bhp....

I then made the mistake of cruising the VW forums and felt the need get involved and learn something so after never even changing a wheel decided to do a full rebuild and swap in a 1.8T from the Mk4 running a custom Qpeng ECU / management for 250 bhp.. It's taking a while but it's going to be worth it! I'd recommend to anyone to do something like this themselves, I never have to take the car to a garage again - so no more getting ripped off :)

Looks like a lot of work! Still, I'm sure you're right -- there's nothing quite as gratifying as doing the work yourself and really knowing your car.

Fully loaded (leather, power sunroof, etc.)

My favorite car I've ever owned by far. Here she is:

60 series, nice, much nicer in the front than the 62's. I've got a 76 40 series, original motor. These things are built to last.

Mod note: We're going to try this in a different way and have an annual (meaning one thread per calendar year) "Picture of Your Car" thread. If a given year's thread becomes too long, we'll split the thread into say, "Picture of Your Car" 2007 (Part I), then (2007 Part II), etc.

Thanks all.

Liking the Golf Firebox! The Leon my folks have has got the 1.8T. Did the MK4 Golf ever have that engine? The GTI we owned had a 2.0 With 115Bhp, so the cheap one:p

I can't tell if people are blurring plates or not. Oh well;

As of now, this and an older Mercedes sedan are my daily drivers. I've got my eye on an s500 circa 2000 that would replace both but we'll see how that pans out. Otherwise, its BMW 3 series time!

Never heard of Del Sol. CRX is in US, tho. :)

You're lucky you didn't post some outrageous sport/luxury car; if you had, you'd be under serious scrutiny simply for being a n00b.

Oh, get a Mac! You'll love it. :)
