Hello, I'm pretty new to macs and considering buying a macbook air or macbook. I was wondering if you could run boot camp on the macbook air if I didn't have the superdrive. I'm pretty sure I could do it with the superdrive but not so sure if I could somehow do it with remote disc. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

It's been reported that Windows cannot be installed via Remote Disc. So you will need the Superdrive. I'd imagine any other external DVD drive would work with the MacBook Air also.

you'll need an external usb dvd drive for the mba
i'm sure any external usb dvd drive will work with the mba also and not just the superdrive option
engadget i believe did a test if they can install windows from remote disc and it was a no go
